A Sunny Disposition and a Tummy full of Honey…

The blog is back, and we’ve all got a delightfully sweet taste in our mouths… Since launching at the end of June, we’ve welcomed new stalls almost every week, and what better time than today to showcase one of our newer Penny Market companions? By now, lovely Londoner, you will have started seeing a trend in the products sold by our wonderful stallholders. They manage to be tasty and delicious, and still make you feel good about what you’re putting into your body – if that combination isn’t a winner, we don’t know what is!

And Wild Hives Raw Honey is absolutely no exception to the rule. This exquisite raw honey hasn’t been meddled with in any way – no pasteurization, no processing and no heating. It really is the golden nectar in its purest form, and a million miles better than anything you might find on a supermarket shelf when searching for a way to jazz up your buttered toast in the morning. The lovely couple who started up Wild Hives have made it their mission to hunt for the most delectable honeys they can find, from all across Europe, jar them up and sell them to all of you lovely folk. It really is like a veritable Eurotrip for the tastebuds, ranging from Spanish cherry blossom honey, full of notes of almond, to darker, more serious-toned Lithuanian buckwheat honey, almost toffee-like in its sweetness. So, close your eyes, put the sunshine syrupy goodness to your lips, and take a sped-up romantic journey through the countries of Europe…

If you’re a bit more of a homebody fear not! Wild Hives has the key to your heart. As well as collecting honeys from ethical beekeepers in many different countries, they also make their own completely original and fantastic London honey, during the right seasons of the year.

Eat it on toast with soft goats cheese if you like salty n’ sweet, eat it on its own for a healthy treat full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, or eat it swirled into some natural yogurt with some berries on top for the perfect start to the day…

Whatever way you want to try it, it is, as always, on your doorstep. Pay a visit to the gorgeous yellow stall just two days from now and see for yourself just how wonderful it is…

See you soon, Pennies!
