What’s New Pussycat?

What words come to mind when we think of London? Alive, buzzing, ever-changing? The skyline of our wonderful city is always, always evolving, as is the choice of incredible things to do. As long as the city is in a state of positive flux, and welcoming the new with open arms, its people are happy.

So, why shouldn’t a pretty market on the corner of Portobello and Golborne Road adopt the same attitude? This week, we’re excited to tell you about one of the newcomers who joined our family recently.

We welcomed The London Krate, and couldn’t be more psyched about it!! It’s becoming a hard and fast rule of The Penny Market’s ethos to sell healthy, artisan products that do their job to remind people that the Brits can actually be really good at their food, too. That’s exactly where The Krate fits in. Beginning as an online retailer of exciting and tasty products from independent producers in Britain, they’ve spread their wings to come and join us, and let us tell you Londoner, the stall looked stunning! From the wacky bacon jam (…it’s a revelation, we promise!) to multiple different popcorn flavours to buy and serve up at your next movie night with friends, all the way to natural Dalston Cola, made with herbs, fruit juices, and fresh cola nuts, it was a feast for the senses. We would LOVE you to come and check out their beautiful selection – there’s absolutely no way you won’t find something you haven’t tried before to fall in love with! Our personal opinion here at the market is that the Krate captures the essence of London in a business – like we said, buzzing, ever-changing and yummy as anything. Be sure to come and say hello, and in the meantime, you can take a look at their website here at http://www.thekrate.co.uk/, where you can even buy for delivery!

See you in a couple of days, for more forays into our new faces!
